Today is the seniors’ last day of school. They will be back next Thursday, for our annual Awards Day and their Senior Luncheon, and then of course Graduation the following week. But today is their last day of school. The Class of 2015 is a group of young adults who are adventurous, compassionate, intellectual, fierce, funny, and – always – independent thinkers. Please join us for their Graduation, if you like – all in the school community are invited, and it is a wonderful chance to celebrate their accomplishments and send them off, St. Francis-style. The ceremony is Friday, May 29th at 4:00 p.m. at Actors Theatre.

Prom for all students is tonight from 8:00 p.m. – midnight in the spaces adjacent to the school in the 233 W. Broadway Building. They are the former spaces inhabited by LOT Gallery and are the spaces we will be acquiring this summer and renovating. Prom is always open to all students but planned by the senior class. This year’s theme is “Neon” and in between AP exams and finishing the rest of their work, they’ve been busy setting up (with a great deal of assistance from Callie Gray, one of their class advisors, and Ray Harris, our facilities manager). Prom-goers will enter via the Broadway entrance that – starting in 2016-17 – will be our school entrance. A number of us are chaperoning (somehow, I continue to get the late shift – note to self, must work on that next year!) and as always, it will be a highlight of the spring to share this evening with our students.
