Drama
St. Francis is proud of its
commitment to the fine arts. The St.
Francis Drama Project annually produces two to three plays and musicals that
never fail to entertain. The Drama
Project mounts classic productions, such as The Importance of Being Earnest and
Fiddler on the Roof, as well as plays for young people by noted contemporary
playwrights. Winter brings the holiday
traveling show, a music, dance and comedy revue aimed at school-age
audiences. Students are involved in all
aspects of production—acting, technical support and even writing and directing.
In order to maintain the
integrity of a production and to affirm the concept of ensemble responsibility,
the Drama Project expects students to make this commitment a priority. Whenever possible, appointments and other
commitments should be scheduled at times that will not conflict with practices
and performances.
