Preschool:

I. TOUR OF THE PRESCHOOL

Tours are available weekdays, by appointment. Tour reservations are made by contacting the Preschool Office (228-0165) at least a day in advance. Touring parents will have the opportunity to meet the Preschool Director and visit classes for all age groups--twos, threes, fours and half-day JK.

II. APPLICATION

Parents complete the application and return it to the Preschool Office with a non-refundable application fee of $50.00.

III. CLASSROOM VISIT

In some cases it may be beneficial to schedule a classroom visit for the child, in order to assess the ability to adapt socially to the Preschool environment. These are generally morning visits, and are scheduled by the Preschool Director.

IV. SPECIAL NEEDS

Parents of a child who requires special services should provide evaluation materials and a copy of the child's IEP (Individual Education Plan) at the time of application. St. Francis School makes every effort to accommodate children, striving always to create a healthy, diverse classroom balance.

V. ADMISSION AND PLACEMENT

The Admissions Committee will review each applicant's file and notify parents expediently regarding acceptance and placement. At times, due to space restrictions, St. Francis is unable to meet a family's preference for class placement. Families who are not offered their preferred class, but accept a second or third choice, will automatically be placed on a waiting list for the first-choice class.
